I’ve had the life-changing joy of experiencing life aboard Sea Dragon off and on for nearly a decade now, the first time when I was only 22 years old. From my first sprint in the northern Caribbean I was hooked. I’ve since then found myself returning again and again, from the Panama Canal, all the way up to Canada. Every time I’ve met a new crew and made friends that I still hold dear today. And the experience itself is unlike any other: the food! the wildlife! the helm! Hands down one of the most amazing experiences of my life. In August 2021 I sailed on S/V Sea Dragon from Oahu to Palmyra Atoll (and back). 2,023 nautical miles almost due south of Hawaii. Sailing this magnificent vessel, snorkeling in one of the most remote and pristine coral reefs on the planet, meeting and learning from an amazing team of professionals, and making new lifelong friends. I had a terrific experience sailing between Florida and Bermuda with Pangaea Exploration. Eric and Shanley are both very knowledgeable and great instructors. I learned a lot and had a great time and only got a little seasick. I recommend it wholeheartedly! Less

To be aboard Sea Dragon is a vibrant and invigorating experience. The time on the ocean is spectacular, and the professionalism and knowledge of the captain, first mate and crew make for a truly memorable time. The research Pangaea Exploration facilitates is extremely important for the health of our oceans. I don't have a lot of sailing experience but that is not in any way a requirement for traveling on Sea Dragon. It is truly a learning environment open to anyone wanting to adventure out to sea! Less
